Research & Development Engineer

Role Summary:
As a Research & Development Engineer at PDS Tech Commercial, you will support the development of advanced products and processes. Your expertise in materials science, process engineering, chemistry, or chemical engineering will be crucial in ensuring our projects are completed efficiently and reliably.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Develop and evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability.
Perform hands-on technical tasks related to wet etch/clean, metal braze, epoxy application, wire bonding, and associated test equipment.
Conduct research and development activities, applying theories, principles, and models to experiments.
Summarize and communicate research results to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain detailed documentation and follow precise procedures.

Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

Graduate degree in a related field.
Prior military service.
Experience with digital circuits and Guidance/Navigation Electronics systems.
Proficiency with General Purpose Test Equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, function generator, power supplies, DMM, logic analyzer).
Experience with environmental testing.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
