Aviation Assembly Specialist – Build the Future of Aerospace

Location: Kinston, NC
Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Second Shift
Pay Rate: $43 - $45 per hour
Per Diem: $110 per week (for candidates residing over 100 miles from the work location)

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Aviation Assembly Specialist to support aerospace manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee critical assembly processes, ensuring high-quality production and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be key to assembling, installing, and testing complex aerospace components while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble Aviation components into subassemblies, joining metallic and nonmetallic structures

• Install mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using various fastening methods (screws, bolts, rivets, solder, crimping, swaging, adhesives)

• Conduct mechanical, electrical, and electronic testing to ensure compliance

• Work closely with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet production requirements

• Maintain high standards in quality, safety, and efficiency

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Prior Aviation manufacturing or quality experience

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

• 5+ years in a leadership/management role within assembly or production

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)

• High School Diploma or GED

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends based on business needs

• Must be comfortable working second shift
