We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician (Level 3) to join a dynamic team focused on the testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of locomotive electronics equipment. This includes cab controls, signaling systems, and bench-level testing devices. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in electronic assembly and diagnostics at the board level and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional testing of sub-assemblies and final products
Troubleshoot and repair to the board level using various diagnostic tools
Perform component-level rework using hot air or soldering techniques
Review and follow detailed schematics, written instructions, and documentation
Maintain accurate test records and report findings
Handle ESD-sensitive components following IPC standards
Support cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
Comply with safety protocols and PPE requirements
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a bench technician in electronic repair and testing
Skilled in reading and analyzing schematic diagrams
Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD safety practices
Hands-on experience with HyperTerminal, Tera Term, or similar software
Comfortable with stand-alone testing of electronic boards
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for detailed work
Visual acuity for identifying small components
Ability to stand or be physically present on-site for the full shift
Pay Details: $26.00 per hour
